Auréa ring in the final of the Most Beautiful Ring of the Year 2025

The theme of the Most Beautiful Ring of the Year 2025 competition Light encouraged jewellery designers to draw inspiration from the world of light and brightness or the play of reflections, shadows and colours.

In addition to design, the competition aims to highlight Finnish craftsmanship and the principles of sustainability, how do we act ethically and transparently to ensure that rings made by Finnish craftsmanship will continue to be part of everyday life and a celebration for consumers in the decades to come?

The "Aurea" ring, designed by Elias Narsakka, a goldsmith from Kultasepät Narsakka Oy in Hämeenlinna, made it to the final ten. The ring is part of the Festive diamond jewellery collection.

-"The idea of bringing light into the ring was a pleasant starting point for me. A beautifully cut diamond reflects light in a unique way, and I wanted to highlight this in a new way in a modern form. I spent a long time developing the shape of the ring to find just the perfect shape for it. We responsibly use only recycled gold and carefully selected certified diamonds."

Elias Narsakka is a fourth generation goldsmith working in the family business Kultasepät Narsakka Oy in Hämeenlinna, Finland. He became interested in blacksmithing at a young age and the natural way to study the trade was through an apprenticeship in cooperation with Lahti Salpaus School. Elias combines traditional craftsmanship with modern methods, such as 3D modelling, to create jewellery that reflects both family heritage and modern design.

Goldsmiths Narsakka Ltd is a traditional family business in the goldsmithing industry, with roots dating back to 1947. The company is now in its fourth generation of goldsmiths.
