A diamond ring often carries a great deal of emotional value. It is usually meant to represent eternal love, faithfulness, appreciation and gratitude. A diamond ring is typically given to celebrate an engagement, a marriage or an anniversary, so it is important that the choice is made carefully and in keeping with the emotional value it carries. A quality diamond ring is a treasured gift that makes the wedding day unforgettable and adorns its wearer for decades. What affects the value of a diamond ring?
Diamonds are usually the most valuable part of a ring. The quality and value of diamonds is influenced by 4 things (4C`s), the most important being colour, clarity, cut quality and weight. It is these four aspects that we pay particular attention to when choosing the right diamonds for our rings.
All diamonds used in Festive rings undergo a rigorous microscope inspection to monitor the quality of the diamonds and maintain it at a high level. Diamonds weighing 0.30 carats and above are graded in the GIA laboratories and accompanied by a written certificate. By default we use diamonds of excellent value for money, colour H (Wesselton) and clarity SI1. The options G(TW)-VS1, H(W)-SI2 and H(W)-VS1 are also available.
A more affordable alternative to a natural diamond is the so-called laboratory diamond (LAB). Laboratory diamonds are man-made diamonds and are created in a laboratory, where the same conditions are simulated as in nature.

The value of a ring is also affected by the material of the ring band. The material options are 9, 14 and 18 carat white gold, yellow gold and rose gold, or alternatively platinum. More information on the materials used in our rings is available here.
Ecology and sustainability.
We use 100% recycled gold in all our jewellery, which keeps the ecological footprint of our rings as small as possible. The ethics and origin of our materials are also important to us. We therefore require our diamond suppliers to provide written certification of the origin of the diamonds and that they are conflict-free diamonds.
