Something new, something recycled
Gold recycling in jewellery manufacturing is a process whereby discarded and unwanted gold jewellery is recycled in large batches through smelting and realloyed into new jewellery materials as needed. Gold recycling is an eco-act, as it reduces the environmental impact and energy consumption of gold mining. Using recycled gold in jewellery making also has a lower carbon footprint than using new gold.
Gold is a beautiful material and it's great to see that some of its beauty lies in its recycled nature. Recycled gold, separated from the alloying metals, returns to its original form and its use as a realloyed material is not very different from the properties of mined gold. In fact, the use of recycled gold in the manufacture of new products is quite common nowadays and we are more than happy to make Festive rings from recycled material!
The enchanting world of recycled gold combines the stories of the past with the art of recreating jewellery in the hands of our skilled goldsmiths, promoting the principles of sustainability. The gold we use is all certified recycled gold, with a practical 100% recycling rate. We are also open to using our customer's own gold in the making of a piece of jewellery for him or her, allowing an important gold object to continue its journey in a new form.
By using recycled gold in Festive rings, we are sending out a strong message of our commitment to environmental sustainability and responsibility, as well as the personalisation and meaningfulness of our products to their wearers. As well as being beautiful on the outside, the jewellery we make carries within it an idea of love for the world around us. When we choose a recycled gold, we can be sure that every piece of jewellery we make is a symbol of making a better choice!
